Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco

Menlo Park - Market Place

Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco's Market Place home was vacant and in foreclosure prior to being purchased under Habitat's Neighborhood Revitalization Program, a new initiative created to help stabilize communities that have been hard-hit by the housing crisis.

The home is now being rehabilitated for a Habitat family. Renovations, designed by noted architects Saida & Sullivan, include the demolition of illegal additions, the removal of vinyl siding, restoration of existing stucco exterior walls, kitchen cabinet and appliance replacements, new bathroom fixtures and doors, as well as the addition of new double pane windows. The 910 sq. ft. 3-bedroom/1-bath home is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.
