Local Celebrity Chefs Lend Star Power to Habitat Fundraiser
A special benefit event- 'gala with a twist' - the fundraiser was actually a series of small private house parties held in September and October throughout the region, including local philanthropists with deep roots in the community who gathered their friends to help fulfill the dream of homeownership for local working families. Habitat expects to exceed its goal of raising $100,000 from the event. From an Icelandic car ferry, to some of the finest homes in Marin, San Francisco and the Peninsula, guests sat down to home-cooked meals personally prepared by local acclaimed chefs, all in support of Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco's vision to build 100 homes in the next five years.
