Lend a helping hand - Volunteer!

Volunteers are the heart of Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco and we need your help more than ever. Whether you have never picked up a hammer or do so every day, you can make an impact by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco. Even by volunteering for just one day, you can learn new skills, meet new friends and make a difference in your community. It's hard work that makes a difference!

Want to volunteer on a regular basis? We would love to have your support as one of our Regular Volunteers! To get started, sign up for a volunteer day and speak with the Site Manager during your first shift. Regular Volunteers set up a schedule directly with the Site Manager and commit to a minimum of 2 days a month.

We have many different kinds of groups volunteer at our construction sites, our Neighborhood Revitalization activities, and our ReStore. We host corporate groups, school groups, faith groups, and all kinds of civic groups of five or more people. Some benefits of group volunteering include teambuilding, learning new skills, working outside, and giving back to the community!

Please note that that corporate groups that wish to volunteer with us are required to participate in our Build Day Sponsorship Program. The amount varies depending on your group's size. Fill out the Group Interest Form below to get started.

This financial support will help defray the expensive costs of land, construction, and materials. Every corporate group that sponsors their build day helps lower the cost the family will pay to purchase their home. Therefore, by volunteering and sponsoring, your support is twofold. Once we have some volunteer spots tentatively held for your group, I will connect you to Lita Andersen, our Corporate Development Officer, who will reach out with more information. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to contact her at
