Habitat Greater San Francisco relies on foundations, individuals, corporations and faith groups to support our housing development and homeowner programs. An investment in our mission pays dividends well into the future by giving families a world of new opportunities while helping to end the cycle of poverty.

$500 a water heater
$5,000 all windows
$75,000 pre-construction costs
$300,000 total home construction costs

Foundations

With their focus on philanthropy and social impact, foundations are an ideal partner to help us build safe, decent and affordable housing for families with low incomes in Marin, San Francisco and on the Peninsula. Individuals

Individual donors represent nearly 25 percent of total funding for Habitat Greater San Francisco, and 57 percent of community support. From the $50 in quarters given to us by a four-year-old girl to a large gift from a corporate executive, a bequest or property gift, each and every financial contribution is needed. Corporate

Corporate partnerships enable Habitat Greater San Francisco to build more homes in the community while helping build employee morale and a sense of corporate responsibility. Some companies are engaged at the grass-roots level, often by departments using their own team-building dollars to get involved and support the cause. Others are engaged at the highest corporate levels, making a significant, long-term commitment to Habitat Greater San Francisco. Gifts In-Kind

Our construction department works with many generous partners in the community who supply such needed goods as windows, doors, siding, tools, appliances and many other items needed to complete a Habitat house.
