Material DonationsTypes of Materials Accepted: Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco is grateful for the generosity of those who wish to donate materials toward the construction or rehabilitation of homes for local working families. While we are not able to accept all donations, some new materials and appliances can be placed in our new homes, while used and salvaged materials may be useable in our resale and rehab homes. Materials such as recycled doors, stoves, light fixtures, cabinets, vanities, toilets (low flow), and plumbing fixtures will be considered, depending on their condition. *We gladly accept photos to assist in the selection of useable materials. Appliances: Will consider appliances if they are less then two years old and in very good working condition. We will only accept gas stoves and Energy Star appliances. Cabinets: Solid wood (no particle board because they will not hold up when removed from original location). We ask that they not be damaged and have all hardware attached. Lighting fixtures: All necessary parts and in near perfect condition. We ask that they not be older then 5 years old. Plumbing: New or near new condition. Bathtubs not accepted, only low flow toilets, vanities based on the size and condition to be used in our resale homes. Hardware: We can accept hardware only if it will furnish one complete home. Carpet: Must be new and usually darker colors such as brown, light brown or tan are preferred; should cover at least 1,200 sq ft. We do not pull up carpet. Tools: Sixteen lb to 21 lb hammers, pulls, shovels, skill saws, rakes, nails in 50lb or more boxes and some power tools. We can accept roofing material and insulation based on quantity and size. Paint: We can accept paints if they are white, low VOC and in 5 gallon un-opened containers. Windows: Complete dual window pane, seals intact, in-frame only and undamaged. All parts provided. Aluminum and metal window if they fit the measurement for the specific home. Contact: Procurement Department
