Group Volunteer Opportunities

CONSTRUCTION
We need volunteers at our construction sites in the Peninsula Tuesdays through Saturdays. Volunteers complete 90% of our labor, so jobs vary based on site and timeline. Youth ages 16-17 are permitted to volunteer on a construction site if there is one adult supervisor for every four teenagers in that age range; otherwise volunteers should be 18 years of age or older.
Groups are booked depending on dates and availability. Please plan in advance - our calendar fills up quickly!
NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION INITIATIVE
The Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative (NRI) program is Habitat Greater San Francisco’s long term commitment to building community in partnership with other organizations, currently in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood and in East Palo Alto. NRI projects vary from park beautification days (read about Citi’s park beautification with 140 volunteers) to community facility repair.
THE RESTORE
The ReStore is a retail store and social enterprise in San Carlos that allows us to raise more funds for building homes. The ReStore relies on volunteers to help with inventory, sales, organization, administrative duties and more. All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
