You may have heard about the fire that destroyed one home and damaged two others at our Habitat Terrace construction site over the weekend. The cause of the fire is still unknown and we are working hard to get our construction site reopened to volunteers.

We do not yet know how the fire will affect our volunteer schedule this month, but we have cancelled our build day on Thursday, October 2nd. At this point, if you are volunteering after 10/2/14, you can plan on coming to site for your scheduled build day. We will call or email you directly if we find out we have to cancel your build day.

In the meantime, you can Support our #rallytorebuild by sharing our story on social media and linking to www.habitatgsf.org/donate. At that link, people can support the “Rally to Rebuild” fund. Or, sign up for a future build day. While most of our days through the end of the year are booked, we will need you to help us meet our construction deadlines. Sign up now to volunteer.
