David Cropper

Chair

Managing Director, TMG Partners

David has 28 years of experience in real estate development finance, construction, and entitlements. He is responsible for TMG Partners’ finance and development activities in the greater Bay Area and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. David’s career began in commercial real estate finance at Union Bank and moved later to Comerica Bank where, as Senior Vice President and Manager, he oversaw Comerica’s real estate lending practice throughout the west. After leaving banking, he spent several years developing infill retail projects and acquiring properties for a private family foundation.

Jason Wells

Treasurer

Vice President, Finance, Pacific Gas & Electric Company

Jason P. Wells is Vice President of Finance for Pacific Gas and Electric Company. He is responsible for overseeing the utility’s financial planning and budgeting. Jason has more than 10 years of accounting experience. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was most recently a senior manager. In 2007, Jason joined PG&E as the director of technical accounting and was promoted to senior director and assistant controller of corporate accounting in 2008. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Florida. Jason is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida.

Peter Ingram

Principal, Peter Ingram Consulting

Peter Ingram is a community development consultant who has been involved in the policy-making, planning, development, financing, and maintenance of public infrastructure for over 32 years. He has 23 years of local government executive management experience in the Bay Area. In his most recent public sector role as a city manager, Peter was instrumental in delivering Redwood City’s Downtown Precise Plan and a new general plan. Prior City roles included Redevelopment Agency executive director, community development director and public works services director, where Peter led the effort of securing a new community water supply via the City’s award-winning Recycled Water Project.

Larry Abramson

Principal, PWC

Larry is a Principal at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he specializes in technology enabled business transformations. Formerly, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Oracle’s Advanced Customer Services where he and his team developed and delivered products such as Advanced Monitoring & Resolution, Platinum Support, Exadata Installation & Support, and other advanced services.Larry began his professional career with Arthur Andersen where he helped clients implement Oracle's early products. He entered Andersen’s US partnership in 1998 and its worldwide partnership in 2000. After Andersen Larry joined Appshop, one of the first Oracle Application Service Providers and an early innovator in Cloud Services. In 2004, he was named “Entrepreneur of the Year” by El Dorado Ventures for his work as Appshop’s CEO.

Anna Bartley

Senior Project Manager and Community Outreach Leader, Epsilon, HYP Co-Chair

Anna has been with Epsilon since 2007 and manages a team of experienced copy editors; is the leader of local philanthropic and community outreach efforts and serves as treasurer for the national community outreach team.

Hilary Billings

Brand Strategist Consultant

Billings is currently a brand strategy consultant specializing in creating lifestyle brands. Her projects have included the development of new brands and brand extensions for large companies, such as Walmart, Crate & Barrel, and Hallmark, as well as defining brand strategies for startup companies such as, Minted, Hayneedle and Pinkberry. Billings holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and English from Brown University.

Julia Davidson

Community Volunteer

Julia Davidson serves on the board of trustees of Crystal Springs Uplands School and the President’s Council of United Religions Initiative. She was previously a director and board president of Hillsborough Schools Foundation and of Episcopal Charities. Julia previously practiced corporate securities law as a partner at Cooley LLP. She is an alumna of the University of California, Davis, and Harvard Law School.

Michael Dorsey

Managing Partner, The Bay Area Growth Fund

Michael Dorsey co-manages three venture capital funds with $250 million under management. Prior to joining The Westly Group, Mike co-founded and co-headed the Bay Area Equity Fund, a $75 million double-bottom line venture capital fund (now called DBL Investors). Mike worked as an investment banker for 20 years, as Head of Technology Investment Banking of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Cowen & Co. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Yale School of Management. He serves on advisory boards of Stanford University and the Initiative on Impact Investing at Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Rob Feuerman

VP for GapTech, GAP

Rob is high-energy technology executive with a successful track record of leading high growth organizations and running large complex technology projects and business initiatives. A tenacious and committed entrepreneur who has built operational capabilities for several companies from early stage to scale while overseeing long term projects from conception through implementation multiple times. Former software engineer with deep industry knowledge in Retail, CPG and High Tech Manufacturing focused on implementing complex best in class Supply Chain Planning and Inventory Management solutions. Rob currently serves as the VP for GapTech (Corp IT) Inventory Management where he is responsible for Global Application Strategy, Delivery and Sustainability across Inventory.

Rob Hollister

President of Real Estate, The Sobrato Organization

As President of Real Estate at The Sobrato Organization, Mr. Hollister has day-to-day responsibility for the company’s commercial and residential real estate activities, including 15 million square of existing properties and a development pipeline valued at more than $1 billion. He oversees the real estate team in deal sourcing, development, marketing, construction, financing and asset management. Prior to joining TSO in 2013, Mr. Hollister served Hines for 17 years, most recently as Senior Managing Director and Country Head for China and Australia. At Hines he contributed to the development and marketing of more than 14M sf of commercial and residential real estate, representing more than $3B in value. Based in Shanghai since 2006, Mr. Hollister directed all activities for China and Australia. Previously based in Seattle, he oversaw all acquisition, development and disposition activities for the Pacific Northwest. Mr. Hollister earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in 1989 and his Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1996 and is a member of the Stanford Real Estate Council.

Jeffrey Hoopes

CEO, Swinerton Builders

Jeffrey Hoopes joined Swinerton in 1984 as a project engineer and quickly proved his mettle, helping the company navigate the economic recession of the late 1980s and rebuild Los Angeles after the destructive Northridge temblor of 1994. Later, as President, Jeffrey oversaw Swinerton’s corporate business development and managed strategic and logistical planning. With deep roots in the West, Hoopes maintains active ties with the building and civic communities of the San Francisco Bay Area and serves on the boards of the Bay Area Council and The Trust for Public Land.

Will Hu

Senior Director, The Prado Group

Will Hu is the Director of Acquisitions for The Prado Group, a real estate investment and development firm in San Francisco. Prior to joining The Prado Group in 2010, he was an Associate in Stanford University's Real Estate Office and an analyst in Lehman Brothers' Venture Capital Group. Will received an undergraduate degree from Columbia University and MBA from University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

David Kremer

Partner, Shartsis Friese, LLP

David Kremer is the senior member of Shartsis Friese’s real estate department and chairs the Firm’s Corporate Department. His practice includes all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of commercial properties. David received a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law. At Hastings, Mr. Kremer was an editor of the Hastings Law Journal and a member of the Order of the Coif. Mr. Kremer also served as an extern to Associate Justice Frank K. Richardson of the California Supreme Court.

Dameon Philpotts

Director of Credit Risk, First Republic Bank

As the Director of Credit Risk, he is responsible for the Credit Risk Management group, where he identifies, assesses, measures, and monitors credit risks across the Bank and ensuring appropriate risk controls and responses. Prior to First Republic Bank, he was Vice President at Union Bank in SFBA. Prior to Union Bank, he was an Underwriter for Chubb. He attended George Washington University and received an Master’s in Business Administration and then attended the School of Banking at University of Pennsylvania. He is a board member for America Scores Bay Area and North Bay Loan Committee.

Tamsen Plume

Executive Partner, Holland and Knight

Tamsen is the Executive Partner of Holland & Knight's San Francisco office and a member of the firm's Public Policy & Regulation Group. Ms. Plume concentrates her practice on land use and environmental law. She represents project proponents in land use and environmental permitting, compliance, and due diligence matters for complex land use, development and redevelopment projects. She is a part of the California Bar Association, SPUR, NAIOP, CREW, ULI, and Thurston Society from Hastings College of Law. Tamsen is an attorney specializing in litigation and environmental law.

Nick Raby

Associate General Counsel in Global Real Estate, Facebook

As the Associate of the General Counsel in Global Real Estate for Facebook, he has served as part of the Commercial Counsel team dealing with mobile transactions & partnerships for Facebook. He served on the Advisory Board for Urban Land Institute (SF District) and was former corporate counsel for Zynga Inc. Prior to joining Zynga, Mr. Raby practiced law for nearly five years as an associate real estate attorney at the law firm of Berliner Cohen in San Jose, and for a short time before that, he practiced corporate law at a small, boutique firm in San Francisco. Mr. Raby earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco, School of Law in 2006 (along with an honors certificate in intellectual property law) and his B.A. in Political Science from UCLA in 2001.

Kalimah Salahuddin

Executive Assistant, Exelixis

Kalimah Salahuddin has volunteered consistently with Habitat Greater San Francisco since 2005 and served as the keynote speaker at Habitat’s 2014 Framing the Future breakfast. Kalimah was appointed to Jefferson Union High School District Board of Trustees and was re-elected in 2012. She has led or served on the steering committee of a variety of local ballot measures including Yes on Measure Y and the Measure L campaigns for the school district.

Carl Shannon

Senior Managing Director, Tishman Speyer

Mr. Shannon is the senior managing director of the San Francisco office of Tishman Speyer, a private family-controlled commercial real estate company headquartered in New York City. He has been at Tishman for almost eighteen years. His career started in finance and debt instruments at Prudential, and then pivoted to equity real estate at GE Capital. Under Mr. Shannon’s leadership, Tishman has developed more units of affordable housing in San Francisco than any other company, exceeded only by the nonprofit housing developers. This includes Tishman’s very successful partnership with the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) on a number of projects of affordable housing. Mr. Shannon has served on a number of non-profit boards, most notably SPUR, where he currently sits on the Executive Board. Mr. Shannon received an AB, magna cum laude, and graduated with an MBA, with high honors, from Harvard University.

Anand Swaminathan

Director, McKinsey & Co. 

Anand is a leader at the intersection of Digital McKinsey and McKinsey New Ventures. He helps companies across industries leverage technology and digital capabilities to evolve their operating models and transform their businesses to effectively serve their customers while scaling operations efficiently. He currently focuses on serving companies in the retail, high tech, finance, and infrastructure sectors. Prior to McKinsey, Anand spent 19 years at Accenture, most recently as the chief strategy officer for Accenture Digital and a member of Accenture’s Global Leadership Council. He led the development and execution of the growth strategy for Accenture Digital including key acquisitions, development of new business models, and the creation of digital platforms.

Lydia Tan

SVP, Bentall Kennedy

Lydia Tan is a Senior Vice President at Bentall Kennedy with responsibility for development activity in the Western region of the United States. Prior to joining Bentall Kennedy in 2014, Ms. Tan was Director of Northern California Operations at Related California. Ms. Tan has more than 30 years' experience in apartment development, including prior senior positions at BRIDGE Housing Corporation, where she co-led an investment partnership and oversaw the addition of 7,900 affordable homes. She has had key involvement in several large-scale, multi-block public/private redevelopment efforts, including entitlements, finance and construction in San Francisco, Oakland and Palo Alto. In her 17 years of experience as a corporate officer and member of executive management teams, she has functioned as an EVP, COO and Interim President/CEO. Ms. Tan holds BA in Architecture from University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford University, and she is a Registered Architect in California.

Vanessa Washington

Senior Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Bank of the West

Vanessa joined Bank of the West in 2006 and is a member of the Bank’s Executive Management Committee. Vanessa has volunteered for a number of community and legal organizations and currently serves on the Advisory Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Oakland. She also serves on the Board of the California Minority Counsel Program and is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, American Bar Association and National Bar Association.
