Location: the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco
Dates: Thursday, September 27th – Saturday, September 29th from 8:30am – 4:30pm
Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco is excited to announce our next Building Blocks event in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco! During this three-day event, volunteers will help make critical repairs for long-time homeowners in the Bayview, a neighborhood that has been historically underserved.
Volunteers will meet in a Bayview park, where you’ll get acquainted with fellow volunteers and community members, receive your own Habitat t-shirt, and hear the tasks for the day. The scope of work will include rebuilding fences, repairing decks, painting houses, landscaping yards, installing flooring, and making other safety and accessibility improvements for long-time homeowners in the Bayview.
Don't worry, no experience is necessary! Lunch will be provided.

9:00am: volunteer orientation
9:30am: work begins at every site
12:00pm: lunch provided
1:00pm: afternoon work
4:30pm: wrap up at sites
About Building Blocks
Building Blocks is part of Habitat Greater San Francisco's Neighborhood Revitalization
efforts that aim to stem displacement and preserve homes for future generations in our two focus neighborhoods: the Bayview and East Palo Alto. During the blitz-style event, we rally our volunteers to help beautify parks and gardens, renovate community facilities, and deliver critical home repairs to keep long-time homeowners in their homes and remain in the community.
