Join us at Great Green Weekend and help us beautify parks and gardens!
Friday, October 12th and Saturday, October 13th in San Francisco's Bayview neighborhood
Meeting locations: Northridge CommUNITY Garden on Friday, and Adam Rodgers Park on Saturday
Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco is excited for our second Great Green Weekend! Building off the momentum and success of Building Blocks, we're excited to expand our blitz-style efforts into green spaces.
During this two-day special event, volunteers will beautify six different parks and community gardens in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood. Your support will help ensure that local residents have access to the vital health and quality-of-life benefits green spaces have to offer. Scope of work will include weeding, pruning, shearing, applying mulch, and possibly planting. On Friday, volunteers will disperse into two locations: Abundance Community Garden and Northridge CommUNITY Garden. On Saturday, volunteers will disperse into four locations: Quesada Gardens, Bridgeview Gardens, City of Dreams, and Adam Rogers Park. Volunteers can sign up for Friday or Saturday shift. There will be a welcome breakfast and orientation at the initial meeting locations on both days!
